Henriette of Montbéliard, Frederick I, Sophie Dorothea of Württemberg, and other historical figures guide you on an immersive tour, revisiting the key periods of the County of Montbéliard. An original presentation of the Château's architecture and the Museum's collections.

Dive into the history of the Montbéliard region, from the earliest traces of human occupation to the dawn of the industrial era, thanks to the new, modernised historical tour. This tour offers a total immersion in the Château's architecture through 15 rooms enriched with multimedia resources.
Explore the town's history under the rule of the Counts and Dukes of Württemberg. Relive the destinies of emblematic figures: the marriage of Countess Henriette of Montbéliard to Count Eberhard IV of Württemberg, the forward-thinking vision of Frederick I, a key figure of the Reformation in Montbéliard, the extraordinary destiny of Sophia-Dorothea of Württemberg, who became Tsarina of Russia under the name Maria Feodorovna, and many other historical tales.
Discover the Château's unique architecture and hidden corners, from the Bear Courtyard nestled between the Henriette and Frederick Towers to the music room, the science and technology gallery, the south terrace and the bakery oven. Admire as you go the antique furniture, gold and silverware, weapons, paintings and objects from the 15th to the 18th century.
